Third Annual Conference on Terrorism and Global Security

Sponsored jointly with the Los Angeles Terrorism Early Warning Group (LA-TEW) and the RAND Corporation, the Third Annual Conference on Terrorism and Global Security will take place on May 8-9, 2008, at the RAND Headquarters in Santa Monica, California.  The Conference will again brings together legal scholars, law enforcement and intelligence personnel, public health professionals as well as national and international terrorism experts to consider major issues in these critical areas.

Muslim “Diasporas” in the U.S. and Europe: The Evolving Threat

On November 13, 2007 CAST sponsored a meeting at Columbia University focused on the development of a research program to consider the critical issues raised by growing Muslim populations in various European national as well as the U.S.  Working in connection with both the Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War & Peace Studies at Columbia, as well as the RAND Corporation, further meetings are planned on this critical topic.
